Le relais des tuileries, handed down from generation to generation
Arlette and Bernard Chambraud took over the Hôtel des Touristes in the village of Séreilhac. Then they moved to the side of the RN21 to open the Relais des Tuileries in 1968. The customers of the Hôtel des Touristes followed. Particular attention is paid to the quality of the cuisine, but also to the welcome. Being close to customers is important.
Frédéric Chambraud, the couple’s son, took over at the end of the 80s after studying at the Talence hotel school in Gironde and working for 2 years in Geneva, Switzerland. Frédéric is still renowned for his local dishes, but he is also developing the pastry side of the business, to which he attaches great importance.
Since 1 April 2022, the adventure continues with a new generation at the Relais Des Tuileries: Thomas Chambraud, son of Frédéric and grandson of Arlette and Bernard, has joined the establishment as head chef alongside his father. A return to the family after several years in prestigious restaurants including Alain Ducasse (Monaco, Provence, Paris…). In the kitchen, Thomas places great importance on local produce and respect for the seasons. His aim is to bring simplicity and finesse to the products he cooks.
